About ARISE Life Skills Curricula & Staff Training

ARISE, a nonprofit foundation headquartered in North Palm Beach, Florida, was founded in 1986 by Susan and Edmund Benson. The ARISE mission is two-fold:

  1. To create dynamic, easy-to-understand, thoughtful life skills workshops specifically aimed at people that work with at-risk youth. The staff take what they learn and teach lessons to the children and teens under their care. ARISE also has a groundbreaking program called “Drop it at the Door” which teaches anger management, stress reduction and communication skills to people who work with incarcerated and at-risk youth and teens.
  2. To train and certify instructors in a positive and thorough manner. ARISE instructors are able to diffuse tension, communicate more effectively, handle stress better and be more of a mentor to the people under their care.   ARISE makes sure that they are able to teach the ARISE life skills lessons in a supportive and effective way.
