Response:Very good information that can certainly assist us with our daily lives. However, I would think that most of the listeners work with offenders – adult or juveniles. Could the information be tailored more as to how we can deal with “angry” offenders, how to calm a volatile situation, etc.
Please share with us how you are utilizing the ARISE Program at your organization.
Response: Since the information dealt more with anger and ourselves, I will use the information I picked up in working with my staff here at this juvenile halfway house.

Response: I’m withholding my final “approval” until the other modules are completed. Speaking only for myself -I’ve been in and around the mental health field, child care services, mentally ill clients and a host of coworkers in a myriad of circumstances for a number of years. I don’t think I heard anything new today, and for the most part it seemed a little bit simplistic. I’ve conducted several on-line training sessions myself, and the very medium dictates some modifications from traditional training settings. I appreciate the opportunity to join with you today, and will do so for the upcoming sessions if allowed. Nothing bad or erroneous today. And if a person hasn’t heard it previously, and participated in many different workshops and role playing exercised in this area, then I’m confident they got some much needed info. Thanks again.

Response: The first Webinar that I took part in was on Gossip in the Workplace. It was very helpful, I used points from it in my next facility wide staff meeting of about 70 staff. I’m also encouraging my managers to sign up for future webinars.

Response:This webinar was informational. I learned that we are in control of our anger, I will try very hard to work on this factor. Sometimes I get so angry, I start having heart palpitation, I just want to hurt something or someone, and I start foaming at the mouth, especially with my grandchildren I really needed the session. Thanks!!!

Response: When showing the webinars to a large group of people, it would be sooooooo much better if the sound came through the computer instead of a telephone. We have to put a microphone next to the phone to hear what is being said, and there’s feedback. Most webinars do their sound through the computer, which is much better. That is my only problems with Arise webinars. Having to get a phone to hear the content is so last century.

Response: My supervisor tells me to put these webinars together for our employees. I dislike doing this, because there are always problems getting an available room, getting enough people to show up, getting a telephone and a microphone, and then the sound is not that good because of the feedback. It’s a tremendous amount of work to get all this organized and ready for a one hour program.
